A lot of your Canadian eagles migrate to the upper Delaware basin for the winter. Although we have year 'round eagles they're a little hard to spot unless you know exactly where the nests are.

In winter eagles are easy to spot along the Lackawaxen River in Pike County, PA. It isn't unusual to see 30-40 of them along about a 10 mile stretch of the river. A couple weeks ago I saw 7 bald eagles in just one tree.

I saw one last week on the Big Elk River in Maryland. It was perched in a dead tree along the shore. Very cool!

What a site they are. Most of the Bald Eagles in Ontario are on the north shore of Lake Erie, so those are probably the same group that are likely coming from down your way.

I'll have to get up there sometime. I remember Mike Stevens doing a "Pennsylvania Road" piece on them last year. Awesome.

I live near the nuke plant (outside of Berwick), and occasionally see an eagle flying along the river.
