"Their egos are the real story in this non-story, story."

Exactly, that's what they're really trying to head off - the perception that maybe they should be out "gathering the news" instead of infesting Starbucks, visiting their hair stylist, and rehearsing dnc talking points.

IMHO, the MSM will ignore any news that might distract it from "desperately seeking scandals" that might be used to damage Republicans.

Fake "spontaneous" riots --> no scandal --> ignore.
Iran processes uranium --> no scandal --> ignore.
FEMA does good job in Florida --> no scandal --> ignore.
Arabs pay Gore $250,000 to bash US --> no scandal --> ignore.

But...
Dick Cheney's bird shot accidently hits colleague --> SCANDAL POTENTIAL! ==> 24/7 "COVERAGE"!!!

Soooo predictable. And pathetic...

Well, I can't speak to DeadAir America's accuracy, but that doesn't help their average.

Thing is, I am beginning to suspect that they know they can't win an honest election and they also know that only the new media will ever call them on cheating. So, they're going to go all-out to steal every election from here on out.

I think we need to operate as if they are insurgents and must be dealt with accordingly.

It depends on what kind of lawyer he is.

"...given that the media's spent the last two weeks telling the public why they don't need to see these Danish cartoons, it's hard to take them seriously as sudden converts to the public's right to know every detail, if only when it comes to minor hunting accidents."

BINGO!!!!!

To get truly idiotic analysis of current events, you really can’t to better than DU. The following post is up there right now:

THIS is why all the Cheney shooting stink.

I have to assume this is at least SIMILAR to Michigan, but I can't be sure and on "work place dialup" that kind of Google Research is a toughie.

In Michigan, failure to IMMEDIATELY report ANY gunshot incident, hunting, cleaning or otherwise, that results in an injury to a second person is a CLASS B MISDEMEANOR, with jail time as an option, and police record and booking at the very least.

I seem to remember something in the constitution: Impeachment, and "...high crimes and misdemeanors..."?

You don't get much more flagrant in violating the law than that.

There’s about a dozen responses now, and not a single one of the brainiacs over there have noted that the Secret Service is law enforcement, and was “notified” of the accidental shooting the very instant it happened. In addition, local law enforcement was also on the scene, and was certainly at the hospital where the victim was immediately taken.

But no joke, they are actually wondering (as they always wonder) if there’s some angle on the “non-notification” aspect on which they can impeach Cheney.

It’s like monkeys typing over there. Retarded drunk monkeys.

Don't forget they think Alito and Roberts are far outside the mainstream even though they get praised to hills by liberal lawyer. Reality means nothing to them. Just whatever pops into their heads.

"Don't these people have anything better to do?"

After the media 's attempt to create a scandal about the Thanksgiving turkey that Bush posed with in Iraq a couple of years ago, I figured nothing would be too ridiculous for them to jump on. I was right.
