The data needs to be stored in more places that a "chip" to be usefull

Why do you say only the right hand? Revelations admonishes us not to receive it on either hand,
"...the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Yes but if you check the previous verses it specified the RIGHT hand or fore-head so the verses you cited were in the plural tenses of the same. A left fore-arm is not the same as a hand.
Also my posting was some-what tongue in cheek as the the idea of any kind of "chipping" is simply repulsive to me.
I mean how can the populace control who controls the technology with such a system in place. Even if the "beast" is not involved at first, just the notion of being electronically branded is simply vile to me.
Also I suspect the mark is a visible one not just an invisibly inserted ID chip. The Bible speaks of the vanity of this son of perdition and an invisible marking chip would simply just not be enough! To take such a mark is to declare one's allegiance to the Devil for such a declaration would sear one's conscience and danm one's soul for-ever.
Context is important. There is a difference when a representative form of government elects to legislate a chipping ID system that marks citizen from foreigner as opposed to a DEVIL incarnated Dictator declaring that all must tke his "mark" in fealty and allegiance to himself and his established order or have their head chopped off. Yet such a system of control may prove to tempting for even a representative government who could roll back our liberties with such a system. Thusly such a system must be absolutely nipped in the bud before it even got the initial supportive legislation.
So when do the first anti chipping protests start and who is going to organize them?...I'm not hearing a peep out of the anarchist anti-globalist types who should absolutely protest this type of monstrosity!

The mark is to be the "Beast's name or his number"...not a personalized ID number assigned to you. It will be the name and number of the Son of Perdition himself. That is why I'm saying that a system of implanted ID numbers that ID's you to the government, is not quite the same as a tatto or mark that Identifies you as Identifying with Satan himself!
Now could such a system be suborned by the Beast himself when he takes control of the whole Earth?....certainly so! But adherents to the Beast get a much more tangible mark or device that names the bearer as a worshipper of the Beast himself!
But you have no arguement from me that even a simple system of chip ID with our SS numbers in them is a great danger to our liberty. To be chipped like an animal is repulsive to me!

Revelations talks about multitudes under the throne of God who are slain for refusing to take the beast's name or worship his image...while you can't say a vast majority will resist on the Earth, more folk than you would ever believe will refuse to take the Mark or worship the Beast's image!

Well, the thing is this chipping technology certainly points the way forward to a time when a overt ID system and branding mark will be used to control all economic life on the planet to co-erce all living souls to be bound to the world's governing systems.
Perhaps by judicious voting and mass protests we can stall the implimentation of such a system in our country for another generation or two. But the end is coming, and Christ will reign on the Earth;God having put all kingdoms under Christ's feet!

I personally believe that the Mark of the Beast will involve both chipping and tattooing. However, I believe it will be imposed as a "rationing" and "registration issue" following the nuclear exchanges I believe are indicated in Revelations 6 and 7.
