Maybe as part of his amends, he will be resign his position in the Church.
If he is honest, he will.

Plus is a narcissitic egomaniac. He's comparing himself to Christ with the line "bringing an Easter out of Good Friday," to describe the difficulties he's having in dry tank.

The core to any religion worth its salt is self restraint. That's why I admire Catholic priests' oath of celibacy. Without it, well you have Brokeback Mountain, gay lovers, drunk as a skunk, Fire Island, Sylvester, you know -- the Episcopal church.

Alcoholism is the least of the problems presented by Bishop Genie!

A queer, adulterous, alcoholic priest. Now there is a person to go to for advice & council - someone to admire & respect.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
My guess is next he will announce he is HIV positive.
One more thing. The idea that Alcoholism is a disease is just more PC BS. I've been exposed to this nonsense more than once, & find it to be an excuse for people who cannot/will not control themselves.

During my first week here, I have learned so much.I wonder if he found out he was gay after he sobered up. Would've loved to have been a fly on the wall for that one--"I'm what?! And I have a partner??!"

Installing this guy as the first gay bishop was such an idiotic guaranteed-to-backfire move, one almost suspects that it was orchestrated by the forces within the Episcopal Church who want gays banned from the clergy.

Every time I hear a discussion of the purported "Gay Gene" I think of the illustrious Bishop of New Hampster.

Yes, the conspiracy theory. Or the Episcopal Church has it's head so far up it's PC gazzomba that the twids never saw it coming.....take your pick.

Episcopal, gay, alcoholic. Sounds about right! Maybe he could star in an NBC sitcom?!
To: Kenny Bunk
Hi.
I was able to speak for a moment Saturday with a retired African Bishop and an older American male who are very concerned (naturally) about Robinson. The reason I mention this is, my jaw hit the floor when the second gentleman remarked during the course of our discussion this and many other issues in the church go back to the 50's, socialists, and Marxism. Bit my lip as I almost asked if he was a FReeper. (If he wasn't he might have thought I was a nut ; )

It doesn't surprise me that much... look at what Vatican II did to the Catholic church. Thank God that the Church had the stones not to change its core values in the face of the unrelenting attack that shook her to her foundation. Thank God she is there for me now.

Thanks for letting me know. The Gay Gene thing I've been thinking for a while. The Bishop of New Hampster just came rolling off my fingertips.
