But the shrill lefties would be so much worse. Condi's too smart to run, cuz she knows how awful it would be. What Clarence Thomas went through would be NOTHING in comparison; so very sad.
He was very insistent that he had no intention of running and he was serious about it. BUT...there were a lot of common people mentioning his name anyway. If you recall, there was a very quick, determined and ugly campaign to publicly discredit him by people on the far right.
