A liberal lawyer friend of mine e-mailed several of us this morning, "As if Cheney isn't making Texas lawyers' lives difficult enough, now he's shooting them personally."
I e-mailed him back, "The victim was a personal friend and a Republican, but don't let the facts stand in the way of your rant."
The victim wasn't a personal friend. It looked like this was the first time they'd met.
I like this retort: "The guy Cheney shot was one of his friends. Guess what he has in store for you?"
