Ann Coulter's comment is not actionable. It is not a statement intended to convey a fact, it was clearly a joke and intended as such. A lawsuit by Rall would lead to a fun deposition of Rall, if he were stupid enough to take it that far. One discussion with a lawyer will convince him not to, however. It was an idle threat.

Ted should stick to making fun of handicap children rather than filing lawsuits to protect his wonderful reputation.

It would be for defamation. But, he would have miles to go to prove that she slandered him. First off, was Ann making a statement of fact or merely expressing her opinion? Secondly, Ann did not, per se, call Turd Rall a Holocaust Revisionist. He would have to prove that is what she meant by bringing in additional facts besides Ann's statements. Finally, it could be argued that he is a public figure and it is certainly true Ann's speech was directed to a matter of public concern. Thus, it is protected under the First Amendment. Turd Rall would have to prove actual malice or falsity.

It's amazing that Ted Rall claims to be patriotic. Truly, to say that he is "patriotic" is to render the word meaningless. Of course, to the leftist, destroying America IS true patriotism, in the same way that liberals believe that it can be in a child's best interests to be aborted.
