It's not stripped at all, except no magazine in the lower receiver. He appears to be adjusting the sling.

You could very well be right. The picture quality isn't the best. It does appear to be empty though, unless he has a round chambered, which I'd say is doubtful.
Empty or not, that isn't good muzzle discipline =)
