You never heard of Hunters actually shooting themselves. They are the victims!!! People that live on the edge of woods that Hunters use have been victims and how can you blame a Hunter everytime he fires and does not hit his target and the victim is raking leaves and gets shot in his own yard. If you run into my firing line at the instant I am shooting it is your fault not mine.

I hope you are being sarcastic.

Nope, she's serious as a heart attack!

Scary, isn't it. And we wonder why the lefties have such an easy time of it when they want to increasingly infringe the RKBA. All they have to do is look for some "hunter" who gets on a tear about how it's YOUR fault if s/he shoots you, and, well, there ya go. And they won't have to look far to find someone like that, as this thread demonstrates.

For the record, I happen to live in a very rural area. How rural? Rural enough that for me, "deer season" means walking about fifty yards to my barn, sitting by the hay loft and looking out across the field, toward my pond.

And, for the record, it just so happens that last year, while my wife was raking leaves in our front yard, a bullet came whistling in, and hit either the ground or a tree -- within a few feet of her -- with a loud -thunk-.

And guess what?

The police INVESTIGATED it. They did NOT tell her it was her own fault for deciding to live in a rural area, deciding to rake leaves in her front yard, yada yada yada. They said it was IRRESPONSIBLE use of a firearm (the bullet came from over a hill -- some MORON had aimed UP, with NO backstop, and guess what? There's this thing called "ballistics"...)

Unfortunately they did NOT apprehend the SLOB "hunter" who almost killed my wife. But if they had, they surely would have prosecuted him.

Where are you getting this legal advice that you are pumping up our keesters like sunshine? You are coming off like "Bride of Deliverance". I mean, really. You need to stop peddling this BS!

You are the one that is really scary, You just made my point by saying that she was almost hit by a bullet from a careless hunter, but it could have been a safe hunter also. This happens and there is no solution I can see. I do not like guns, and I cannot stomach people that do not read the post or understand what is being pointed out. This old man failed to obey the rules and ended up in the line of fire as testified to by those in attendance. VP Cheney does not have eyes in the back of his head, and as I said before if I was cheney and this man did this to me so that I was not able to react, then it was his fault as the witnesses stated. You are mixing apples and oranges. I referred to two different things. One that innocent People that live near wooded Hunting areas can be injured and sometimes it is nobody's fault. Two that if I am in the same position as VP was and did everything right and the man walked into my firing line it is his fault for not following the rules. Reread the post it is making two points not one altogether. What do you want to do restrict Hunters from hunting, that is left wing stuff and counterproductive. I feel like I am discussing this with Chuckie Schumer.
