Iran’s Leader, Ahmadinejad, Calls on Nations to “Remove Israel”

Iran’s Leader, Ahmadinejad, Calls on Nations to “Remove Israel” 16:49 Feb 12, '06 / 14 Shevat 5766 By Scott Shiloh

At a rally in Teheran, commemorating the 27th anniversary of the revolution that created the Islamic republic, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated his call for Israel’s destruction.

"We ask the West to remove what they created sixty years ago, and if they do not listen to our recommendations, then the Palestinian nation and other nations will eventually do this for them," Ahmadinejad said.

"Remove Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations," proclaimed Ahamdinejad to a crowd of hundreds of thousands of Iranians, according to state media.

Once again, the Iranian president called the Holocaust “a fairy tale” and accused European nations of being held hostage by “Zionists” in Israel. He said “neutral scholars” should be allowed to investigate in Europe and report on “the truth about the fairy tale of the Holocaust.”

Ahamadinejad compared the Holocaust to the caricatures of Mohammed that ignited a wave of violent protests around the Islamic world. "Now in the West insulting the prophet is allowed, but questioning the Holocaust is considered a crime," he said. The cartoons, he said, were part of a “Zionist plot.”

“We ask, why do you insult the prophet? The response is that it is a matter of freedom, while in fact they are hostages of the Zionists. And the people of the U.S. and Europe should pay a heavy price for becoming hostages to Zionists,” he expounded.

Chastising the West for not recognizing the Hamas victory in parliamentary elections in the Palestinian Authority, Ahmadinejad said, “You [the West] want democracy but do not respect the outcome. It seems that you [the West] only want that form of democracy whose results just repeat your standpoints and only follow your policies.”

The current president of the European Union, Ursula Plassnik, who also serves as Austria’s foreign minister, condemned Ahmadinejad’s latest threat to destroy the Jewish state. “That this type of completely unacceptable remarks are continually being repeated does not mean we should accept them in silence,” she said.

Plassnik also said that the land of Israel should be divided between Arabs and Israelis, living side-by-side in two states, without violence or terrorism.

Right before Ahmadinejad’s speech, which also focused on Iran’s “inalienable” right to develop nuclear power, the crowd chanted “Death to America,” “Death to Israel,” and “Nuclear energy is our inalienable right.”

After Ahmadinejad declared that dust will blind “those who insulted the prophet,” the crowd cried, “Death to Denmark.”

Does anybody wonder whether we have to use all means necessary to prevent this crackpot from getting nukes?

Sadly, I think the average Moslem is whipped up enough to agree with Iran's leader. So he is going to get enormous support, which he obviously knows. The only answer to this threat is to remove this guy quickly, as a brutal message to his region that this behavior will not be tolerated. Otherwise, I think you are finally going to end up with an Arab and Moslem "street" that will agitate their governments to destroy Israel and oppose the United States.

Iran has found the magic button of aggressive anti-semitism.

In the wildly amusing movie, WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, an alternative universe inhabited by cartoon characters could be accessed through Hollywood.

What we see in Teheran is a modern equivalent of Toon Town.

Iran Toon Town is overdue for a BIG time application of the DIP!!

If I'm "offended" can I riot and burn down something Iranian?

With this guy in place and striving to obtain nuclear weapons, with the N. Korean leader being the maniac that he is, and with the Red Chinese gowing in economic and military might and being in a position to pull their strings while cozeying up to other tin horn dictators around the world (Chavez, Castro, etc.)...we are in a position where we absolutely cannot repeat the erros of the 1930s.

We must act and stop the dictators like this guy in Iran, Chavez, and N. Korea now. By so doing, and in recognizing the pivotal and supportibve role that Red China plays...and reactig to it...we will send a message to Red China and put pressure on them directly (like Reagan did th Soviets) that will hopefully result in the demise of their Communist, totalitarian regime.

Otherwise, I fear, we risk a developing scenario like the one I have tried to depict in the Dragon's Fury Series of novels. Indeed, most of the pieces are already in place for such a scenario.

There is a LOT of anti-Semitism in Iran. Just like Khomeini used the US as the Great Satan to whip up and direct his followers, so this guy is using the natural inbred hatred of the Jews to gather a following.

It is so frustrating that good men have to die each generation to keep these evil pr**ks from dominating the world. Seems like we're having to fight this SAME war over and over again. The players change but the battle against tryanny and hatred remains the same.

IF we even assume for a moment there was no Israel, would Islam then be a "Religion of Peace"?

Of course not.

Every single Muslim is instructed by the Koran to wage war against the infidel and convert by the sword.

They are Skinheads on a massive scale -- but much worse -- and will continue to be the bane of humanity...until Armageddon.

For some reason, Ahmadinejad has a desire to get his nation bombed in a pre=emptive attack to prevent the Iranian nutjobs from carrying out any of their Islamic madness against Israel.

I'm not sure what Ahmadinejad's end game is, if he even has one but, these calls for the eradication of Israel are not only dangerous, they could plunge the rest of the earth into the depths of WWIV - AKA the Second Crusades.

My advise would be to send a delegation of Liberals to Iran starting with Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, Chucky Schumer, Teddy Kennedy, Hillary, et al. They can talk "peace" with the Iranian fanatic and see how far they get with their brain-dead political philosophy. I'm sure they can convince this modern-day Hitler to disarm. Let them prove that their "make peace not war" mantra works. Next, they can fly to Iraq and try the same thing on the insurgents. IMO, this would be a great opportunity for them to do more than just whine and bash Bush--they can prove themselves so to speak.

You are right. But, the way I look at it, that's what we were always told. There is a battle between good and evil forces, and it continues. What I find discouraging is to see Chavez becoming more and more like a tin horn dictator as we see how much work it is to undo the damage of 30 years of Saadam.

Didn't they just get back from helping out in Palestine?

I have read somewhere else Ahmadinejad INTENDS to start WW3 to bring a prophecy to fruition. The prophecy involves a seven year period which begins shortly.

It all seems to boil down to who has Jerusalem...the constant wrestling match about the control of Jerusalem. i wonder when the guy who makes the 7 year deal with Israel is going to show up?
