There was another poll less than two weeks ago. Pew? It had Allen at 2%, among Republicans. Barely on the radar.

I saw him on on of the Sunday shows a year ago. Slightly confused, slightly inarticulate and slightly nervous. An easy steamroll for the MSM and dems. Maybe he got smarter, less nervous and took speech lessons.

I'll tend to agree... but it's early and I try to think positive. ;)

I think this is the perfect place for him at this point. Governors climbing up from the back of the pack tend to do well. Over the next few years, he should slowly get more face time, but not too quickly. Otherwise, burnout.

As for the slightly confused, articulate, and nervous...I think this should be expected. Too polished looks phony. If you look back over time, all of the presidents were a little amateurish in the beginning.

Hey, when he was running for governor here, he was still chewing Copenhagen. Can't go wrong there.
