It is so rare to find a Muslim willing to speak the truth about their "religion".

Unfortunately, hate works. They won't change on their own.

No wonder they are so eager to end their lives!!
You know, that's an excellent observation. We all know what a painful and self destructive emotion hate is. I saw one Freeper's tag line that said "Hating someone is like drinking rat poison and expecting the other person to get sick."
It might make just blowing up an easy way to leave a dark, unhappy life.

For 30 years I lived inside this war zone of oppressive dictatorships and police states. Citizens competed to appease and glorify their dictators, but they looked the other way when Muslims tortured and terrorised other Muslims. I witnessed honour killings of girls, oppression of women, female genital mutilation, polygamy and its devastating effect on family relations. All of this is destroying the Muslim faith from within. The big lie here is that this is somehow a mutated form of islam. Nonie Darwish remains brainwashed by the death cult. Her only hope is to convert to some other faith that actually professes peace, hope, love, charity, etc...Islam ain't it and never was.

Wonderful thoughts. I have one minor quibble.
" The entire West ( dare I say "the civilized World?" ) is locked in a fight to the death with militant Islam."
I don't think it's militant islam we are at war with, but orthodox islam. A muslim who doesn't want to kill or enslave all non-believers is "militant" by acting against the express tenants of islam.
Don't flame me, I'm on your side. I am just on a personal "jihad" to replace the terms "extremist" and "radical" with "orthodox'.

Yeah, that about sums it up. Smart girl. Hope some people listen to her.

Indeed, with Denmark set to assume the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council, the flames of the cartoon controversy have been fanned by Iran and Syria. This is critical since the International Atomic Energy Agency is expected to refer Iran to the Security Council and demand sanctions. At the same time, Syria is under scrutiny for its actions in Lebanon. Both Iran and Syria cynically want to embarrass the Danes to achieve their dangerous goals. Wowzer. This is a critical dot that had not been connected before now, at least not that I had seen.
There had been vague statements that the flap had been incited to distract attention from Iran, but this point of Denmark's role on the Security Council brings it all into focus.

It's time to stop allowing Arab leaders to complain about cartoons while turning a blind eye to people who defame Islam by holding Korans in one hand while murdering innocent people with the other. You won't be able to stop it, Nonie, because the Koran and killing of innocents and all the other assorted repressive tenets intrinsically go hand-in-hand. It was already 'defamed' at its inception by its own creator. You seem to understand this in your editorial up to the point where you actually believe there is any hope of 'stopping' its results without crushing the fabricated 'religion' at its root.
