Stupid story to start with really does need double posting. It's a private company that has NOTHING to do with security. Just more misreporting by the Junk Journalists

a maritime industry considered vulnerable to terrorism.
Major donk talking point for over a year is that shipping is not secure. However, these same folks have not, to my knowledge, ever raised one question over Chinese control of major ports in/surrounding the US.
Please note this does not mean I am comfortable with either a UAE firm or a Chinese firm controlling US ports. Nor am I reassured by being told that both have been vetted by intelligence agencies whose performance appears in hindsight to have been less than thorough. I am not reassured that this is a private firm, since it is based in a country and a culture quite dependant on its government for continued existence.
Maybe I am just too old. After awhile, fatalism sets in. After all, there doesn't seem to be much the average citizen can do about any of this.

I know in the hate Bush always world they want to make a mountain out of nothing so they can whine about Bush DAILY, but this really is NOTHING.
It is really interesting that the "Real Conservatives" are willing to line up with little Chuckie Schumer to spew their hate Bush nonsense on this one. Seems the hate Bushies are more then willing to line up next to the Moveon.org wackos as long as they can spew their daily does of hate.
Amazing how supposedly "Limited Govt." Conservatives always seem to find SOMETHING they want the Govt to micromanage for them. Gee I guess this is just another example of the Whine All The Time Choirs situational principals hmmm?

It is not a private company. It is OWNED by the United Arab Emirates government, along with CSX International which was purchased by UAE last year.
