I'm sitting here in my shorts, too, and I'm freezing! ;)
LOL! Around 70 in San Diego today. Down from high70 to 80
the past week.
Where in Jersey? My dad from Lyndhurst, grandparents
from North Arlington and Hoboken.
Disappointed they didn't post my poison pen letter but glad that many echoed our sentiments. Hopefully it will be the last we hear from Williams.
Check the temp on my FReeper homepage, and you'll get some idea of how some of us can barely relate to "Winter Olympics"....but I love 'em anyway.
Must be; or everybody went out for an early Valentine's dinner; I'm in and out because I'm cooking.
I have both of my granddaughters....one for the night..the other for another couple of hours..
Neither of them like me to freep....so I am checking..also, I can't talk the 6 year old, who is spending the night, to watch...darn.
Oh, you've got to watch the figure skating! (It must be a boy).
The Olympics are the only time I watch ice skating, not to mention all the other winter sports. I have to learn the names and rules all over again every 4 years.
These two are delightful to watch.
Excellent
Yes, just like butter.
They just made olympic history with their triple axle.
A first..the first quad toss?
New judging system...add up the points.
12 judges, computer randomly tosses out 3 of them...the remaining count.
And did they allow any French judges this time???
They looked pretty good to me, but what do I know?
A triple toss.
That looked very nice to me! I guess seeing the rest will make it more clear why they aren't in contention for a medal.
Durn, she sure was spinning fast...looked like five! They looked cool.
Have they been using this new scoring system at other events, or is this new for the Olympics?
NBC is crowing that they added 24.6 hours of programming from their Salt Lake coverage. What they didn't tell us is that those 24.6 hours will all be reruns from Salt Lake!
I believe it was a triple axle toss, never attempted before.
Made the mistake of laying down on the sofa to watch the opening ceremonies last night. Grrrrrr! Missed seeing the American team walk in, missed Pavarotti, and missed the final lighting of the flame.
