Two more guys have to skate, including Shani Davis, another American making his Olympic debut. After that, they can award the gold medal to *whoever* tonight's winner is!

Chad is going for four more medals, so we'll see him a few more times. I wonder if Laura will come to see him each time!

I don't like to answer a question intended for someone else, but I will, just in case no one heard the comment made by someone on TV tonight. Laura was there for the opening ceremonies and was to fly home today. Because of the weather conditions on the east coast, she's staying. I saw on our local news coming out of PHL, that mostly all flights to the northeast coast will be cancelled tomorrow, which, of course, includes the Washington, DC area.

I'm in the Philly suburbs. It is a gorgeous winter wonderland tonight. A wet, heavier snow. The trees and bushes are thick with snow, it is swirling, and windy, and quiet - totally magical.

I'm a summer person, but this is a beautiful sight.

Ok, back to the show.....

over the Champs de Mars just at the moment when the lights on the tower did their sparkle show at the top of the hour.

Reminds me of that Jack Nicholson/Diane Keaton movie (? name) where we got to see the sparkle show. Was this your first trip to France and what sort of reception did you receive?

Heck, I just looked outside and somehow we've got a good inch or so out there! LOL! None of it has stuck to the streets though.

Oh, I see. She's just there because her flight was canceled. She's been talking about Chad for two days, so I thought she really meant it. *Well, ok* I feel stupid.

After speed skating, isn't there more pairs figure skating? I thought this ended at 11.

No, I was there for two weeks about 3 years ago. No unpleasantness at all. In fact, I'd forgotten that last time there were numerous comments about "our president". Not a peep this time.

Funny you mention that movie. We actually considered going to "their restaurant" for dinner. But it was cold as heck that night and we decided to stick closer to home. I loved that movie, though.

I just checked. We have another half hour (it'll be 11:30 here). Then we cut off for a half hour of news and come back from midnight to 1 with more new stuff.

After 1:00 they will repeat the prime time coverage.

Agree it's a beautiful sight as long as we have power to appreciate it. Lately if my neighbor sneezes we lose power and water. Praying the winds aren't as strong as they're predicting.

Chad looking very good right now as these two aren't keeping up.
