Yeah right. Like these "true conservatives" are going to sit home and let Hillary Clinton and the Dims be elected ^^; There's no reason for the GOP to move right at this stage ideologically. They do need to focus and force through the conservative policies they stand for though such as meaningful spending cuts to go along with the tax cuts.

I know there is no reason for them to, but you're sadly mistaken if you think they won't. They've done it before and they threaten to do it every single election.

We'll see. The border and spending may just keep many home this next cycle. Plenty out there wondering if there really is a difference anymore.

There's reason to, just no motivation to. Motivation to move right only matters to them if it comes from the other side, it's ignored when it comes from party members.

The least the government has grown in the past 20 years was under a Republican controlled Congress and a Democratic Executive branch. It's called gridlock. The two branches can't agree on anything so they basically shut down government and blame each other. Makes for good television and doesn't cost the citizens of the respective states as much. It's a historical fact that it's worked before.
