That poor guy. I watched that when it realy happend and they have showing him going off that ski jump every since, especially when they still ran the wide world of sports.
Years after that skiing crash I saw that guy who crashed interviewed. He said he was fine, although it looked pretty bad. What bugged him was that it was used for so many years...and he became the face of the agony of defeat. Not something a competitive athlete want's associated with them. He was laughing...a bit...but said he'd done that event so many times with no problem...he has one fall and he's part of history.
