To ignore--or as Noonan did, to mischaracterize--the clintons' 'performance' at the funeral does not change the essential truths. Peggy Noonan failed utterly to see the game the clintons were/are playing. And you fail to see Peggy Noonan's failure.
As for the badmouthing of Bush, wrapping 'the Jeffersonian spirit of Americanism' around it doesn't automatically make it right. (Such an analysis is facile, simplistic. At best....)
Indeed, there are two very good reasons why this behavior is wrong: (1) it aids and abets the enemy, (Which president did al-Jazeera quote first, I wonder...), (2) it tarnishes a person's funeral.
