Well, the best skater is 15 year old Mai Asada from Japan who can't compete in the Olympics because of the minimum 16 year old age limit.
Kwan didn't compete to qualify for the Olympics, but we gave her a spot anyway.
Asada, is, IMHO, the best in the world today.

Yeah, didn't you like Brian Williams taking this Olympic moment to ask Laura how she liked "so many people" bashing her husband right in front of them at CS King's funeral?
Laura: "It wasn't *many,* Brian."
BW: "Do we have a clip of the Reverend?"
Of course they do. Nasty man stands up there screaming that there were no WMDs.
Laura just smiles. Says "well, I didn't like it--he's my husband."
Back to Williams, talking about Laura and the Olympics *after* the camera is off Laura.

A man skates in the Palasport Olimpico ice rink during the final preparations for the Winter Olympic Games in Turino, Italy, 07 February 2006. It's back to being a simple game of chance for Canada as the head ice maker for the Turin Olympics has denied a request to have a one-dollar coin frozen beneath the ice at the main hockey venue.(AFP/File/John MacDougall)

that's assuming she's even on the ice.
Notice that her skates are covered. I can't imagine her doing that on the ice. It wouldn't work so well.....
but as I said, since she can do that easily, she should win LOL
