Suggest you make a list of what you think would make you think the government cares. I live on Social Security, and I am glad the check comes every month, that I have Medicare, and now better drug coverage. but I also appreciate that the airports and interstate are open etc. My point is that government has certain jobs to do. If you are looking for caring, try a hospital. The public will pick up the tab.

I get the Zogby poll questionnaires. I routinely say the country is on the wrong track because of the continued growth of the welfare state and welfare programs. That doesn't mean I'll vote for a Democrat any time soon.
