Steyn positivly nails Hollywood. ping, if you haven't read it.

Last fall, an acquaintance who is extremely (and I do mean extremely) liberal asked which conservative columnists I liked to read. He was evidently serious as he wrote down the names I gave him, Mark Steyn being number 1 on the list.

I've often hoped he followed up and read some Steyn.

He was brave enough to make a movie about Islam’s treatment of women? Oh, no, wait. That was the Dutch director Theo van Gogh: He had his throat cut and half-a-dozen bullets pumped into him by an enraged Muslim who left an explanatory note pinned to the dagger he stuck in his chest.

There were so many good points in this article. I'm sending it to some e-mail friends.

And Steyn absolutely nailed Clooney's forgetting about the KGB files that showed just how far Communists penetrated our country. Hollywood is filled with old ideas and old stereotypes. Sad.

A most worthy article to read again, save and send to a wide list.

Munich is a round of self-applause for the point of view that having no point of view is the most sophisticated point of view of all — a position whose empty smugness is most deftly summarized by the final shot of the movie, the Twin Towers on the New York skyline. For a serious film, it would be hard to end on a more fundamentally unserious note.
