La Grange has MORE than 5,000 people -- illegals have NOT been counted and quite a few live there and in the county. An even higher percentage live in surrounding towns. My last Texas Almanac (some years old) says 4200+ which is just over 4000 and not enough of a difference from 5000 to argue about. The point was that there are not 40,000.

The point was that there are not 40,000. Right you are. On my property in TN some years ago, the Census didn't count ANY of us. Missed 15 persons. And, that times they missed people in that town times thousands of towns...their numbers are not accurate.
