MEXICO CITY Mexico plans to stand firm in pushing for the right of an international war tribunal to prosecute U-S soldiers.
Today's announcement came despite the fact that the decision will cost Mexico more than one (M) million dollars in U-S military funding to fight drug gangs.
A spokesman for President Vicente Fox -- Ruben Aguilar -- says nobody should be immune from the action of justice.
U-S State Department officials said that the cut was made to comply with the 2002 American Service Members Protection Act.
The law says military assistance should not be given to countries that have ratified the International Criminal Court, a permanent war crimes tribunal based in the Hague, unless they sign a pact granting U-S military personnel special immunity.
Mexico became the 100th country to ratify the court in October, and it didn't sign the special pact.

Mexican nationals in trhe US sent $20 BILLION dollars back to Mexico in 2005!

Bet we'd gotten some compliance just by shutting off payments for all forms of moneyorders where there's any indication Mexico or a Mexican national was involved.

And, we should have our military reserve the right to shoot any Mexican military personnel who undertake any unauthorized incursions into our sovereign territory.

You figure that between illegals and druggies sending money south of the border, we don't need to subsidize Mexico anymore.

I think it's important to extend the American Service member's Protection Act to protect US soldiers who are being hassled by European leftist judges. Even though I think those are a less serious threat than the ICC, it's time to put an end to that nonsense tool.

A spokesman for President Vicente Fox; Ruben Aguilar, says nobody should be immune from the action of justice. Then I guess they won't mind if we build our fence and deport the millions of their citizens back immediately. We also need to deal harshly with their military when they get "lost" while helping smugglers.

Mexico is not our friend, it's a hostile nation. Its rulers laugh at us as they push their unwanted masses over our border. Blame the hacks in DC and blame George Bush

Actually when the "hit hits the fan Mexico will become our 51st state pronto. When the world war hits we cannot afford to have the south open and run by drug lords
