Maybe someone should start compiling a list of other things that affected Los Angeles before Villaraigosa became mayor, and then we can make sure that President Bush informs him. After all, we wouldn't want Villaraigosa to remain totally ignorant, would we? I'll start the list right here:

Note to Mayor Villaraigosa;
It will get increasingly dark as the day goes on. Do not panic! It will in fact become very dark toward the end of the day. Don't call an emergency session! Hours of darkness will then be replaced by light. The light, however, will be temporary. A follow up memo will provide additional details.
