Fair enough questions.
But, IIRC, there was a documentary (name escapes me) on TV within the
last 6 months about how Hollywood was reticent to make films that
directly dealt with the Holocaust, at least in the decade following WWII.
I didn't get to see the documenatary, but I suspect that maybe the
power-players in Hollywood just didn't want to dig that ground for material
because worldwide Jews were just trying to recover and get on with their lives.
And maybe didn't think it would be received well on film partly because
it wasn't happy fare and might cause some bent minds to think "that whole
war was the fault of the Jews".
About the heaviest things I can remember were George Steven's "Diary of
Anne Frank" and Goldwyn producing the excellent "The Best Years of Our Lives".
Not only did Hollywood leave out major bits of WWII in film after the war...
A fair bit of the Jewish tragedy in WWII wasn't fairly reported in
the newspaper of record while the Holocaust was on-going:

And as for there being a disproportionately Jewish power structure
in Hollywood (at least "back in the day")...there shouldn't be any
stigma to having been there when Hollywood was born and really knowing
how to finance huge products.

Joseph Kennedy's pal, Hayes (The Hayes Code)was in charge of overseeing the film industry, and threatened studios with closure and unemployment of their staff if there were anti Nazi films. However in 1939, Edward G Robinson was in "Confessions of A Nazi Spy". The parallels to todays sand nazis is astounding..
