"Enlighten me. Why do you think integration with mexico is a smart thing?""Lets pretend that Mexico isn't corrupt, first. What a stretch that is? How could that be accomplished? By economic opportunity, perhaps? Could a truly capitalistic, and successful Mexico offer its citizens opportunities that now exist in our country?...
The big picture goes far beyond a fence and far beyond where your vision can take you."
Mthom, I believe you've been "enlightened."
This poster supports capitulation. Pure and simple.
AND following the pied-piper President's amnesty program and the invasion over the cliff. AND sacrificing our sovereignty. Because Mexicans need "economic opportunity."
That's his "Big Picture."
Grunt's and Dubya's philosophy is "disruptive" to America, it's borders, it's law enforcement, it's social services, it's economy, and it's citizens.

You're just a liar and you just lied again. That post supported capitalism and a successful Mexico which wouldn't need to export its little brown bombs. Give it a break, disruptor ...

The post also validated the premise of the question: "Why do you think integration with mexico is a smart thing?" Obviously, it's something you're in favor of.

Having good relations with your neighbor is wise diplomacy. Problem is, Mexico is not a good neighbor to the US. They have the worlds tenth largest GDP, yet they have a third world economy. That's why over one million Mexicans cross the border into the US every year. There is no hope in Mexico and Vincente Fox isn't working to make life for his people any better. Fox advocates his people leave Mexico and enter the US illegally, break US law and steal from the American people. Any attempts to integrate the US and Mexican cultures would not benefit either side. It would destroy our American way of life, quicker then illegal immigration is doing today.
This idea of integrating cultures sounds like a form of Euro-socialism, that united the communist USSR with the Eastern Bloc of totalitarian nations to create the Soviet Empire. Maybe a better example would be the organization known as the European Union. Either method would only undermine US sovereignty, collapse our economy and eventually bring down America. That would probably satisfy the worlds anarchists, communists, socialists and globalists, but I doubt the American people would find such a move advantageous to the future of the USA.
The only way to get the job done is to secure our borders. Build walls, fences, whatever is necessary. Use the military to backup the Border Patrol, prosecute and punish employers who violate the law by hiring illegals and cut off all welfare handouts to illegals. Stop the invasion before its too late.

I suppose in this post the way you try and embarrass Reagan is through the deceitful 'integration of culture' crap you've tried to introduce.

That is your big picture? A reformed and prosperous mexico would be good. How deep. Mexico might just be a nice place to live in about 50-100 years. Im not willing to assent to a massive preference for mexicans in our immigration policy until that happens. Youre uninformed. Bushs policies move us towards economic integration in an EU type north america. No thanks.

And still waiting for a coherent rebuttal from YOUAbut what, disruptor? Anytime someone gives you an honest opinion you, and the other little minds, use that to attack and ridicule. Which of the 3 Stooges are you, Larry?

Tancredo wrote his national political obituary when he spoke about "nuking Mecca". Like Buchanan, he shoots from the hip and often hits his feet. Have you ever noticed that the same ones who trash Tancredo in the Tancredo threads are the same ones who trash Coulter in the Coulter threads?
...and they just looooove Harriet Miers!
To: Jim_Curtis
I also notice that they never even try to quote him accurately and refute what he says. Ever.

Not me. I applaud Tancredo in the Tancredo threads and trash the Michael Moron-type Coulter worship in the Coulter threads. Tom's the real deal, fighting for American interests in Washington every day. Coulter's just some talking head "from Connecticut" who makes statements she doesn't even believe in like "the chivalric, honor-based [confederate] culture was driven down by the brute force of crass Yankee capitalism" to woo more readers south of the Mason-Dixon line (if not, I dare her to make those statements "in Connecticut" at a GOP event and see how popular it makes her)
>> ...and they just looooove Harriet Miers! <<
Not me. I called on the Miers nomination to be withdrawn when people like MNJohnnie were basically saying "only RINOs can WIN confirmation to the Supreme Court". However, I am a big fan of Chief Justice Roberts, who was unfairly slammed as a "Souter clone" by nutcase pundit Coulter.

"Don't lie. Team America is a grass roots organization that has the support of the 83 member House Immigration Reform Caucus and the majority of Americans too boot. No one is making a dime of profit off the donations to Team America. The money goes to the national grass roots efforts."
You and others have told him this a thousand times, and either he skull is thick or he refuses to believe it. He almost certainly knows this to be true deep down.
