PING
I bet that 80% of those arms will be going to countries that opose the US.
Russia is increasing their arms exports to unfriendly countries.
You mean like Iraq or Ukraine?
I certainly hope so. We've proven on many occasions on ineffective their weapons systems are.
Already up for propaganda eh? No where does the article say which countries.
But I thought Ukraine was joining NATO... Looks like that won't happen, because Yushi will lose control of the parlment in the Ukraine to the Pro-Russia forces. Also, Ukraine's military is loyal to the Russians.
Russia's economy depends on sales of military equipment...so they'll sell to any country no matter who or for what.
Yep china, iran, venezuela, assorted dictators/muslim radicals. Disgusting government.
They seem to sell to Anti-American countries first. And, Russia is not that cash strapped anymore with high energy and natural resource prices.
Putin is a commie. What do you expect?
Yeah the Pro-Russia forces that dismissed government to prevent yushchenko's deal with Russia?
Do you honestly think before you post?
Isn't the Iraqi military being supplied with Russian equipment ?
Why yes it is and Russia has announced intentions to help arming their military going forward, but some folks seem to think it's still the cold war.
Brokeback Pootie is a lying POS.
It seems to me that outfitting the Iraqi military with Russian equipment is appropriate. After all, for many, it is a leap of technology from camel to M1-A1. The more primitive and less expensive Russian stuff, at this point, would be easier to phase into a new Army and would still be more than adequate in an area/neighbor countries similarly equipped.
What can they do. Arms are the only thing they make that people are willing to buy from them
If somebody can read in Russian, read in http://www.gazeta.ru/ about subj. In addition, there are many problem with manufacturability of weaponry.. But portfolio contain orders to the sum of $23 billion.
I want to give more specified link: http://www.gazeta.ru/2006/02/09/oa_187971.shtml
