It is nice to have such a wide selection of pistols out there. I have an HK USP .40 and a Para Ord. .45 4 inch with the LDA trigger and hard black finish.

The LDA trigger is a little longer and heavier than the Glock. The USP I have is single/double action. Can carry it cocked and locked, DA with hammer down and safety off, DA with safety on. Night sights and a lighter adjustable hammer spring (add-on).

Guns are very interesting. So many kinds and makes and variations. Everybody should be able to find something they are happy with. I'm sure you found a nice one for yourself.

Good morning.
"Guns are very interesting. So many kinds and makes and variations."

It's a constant battle to counter the efforts of my grandson's school to demonize weapons and their use. I've managed to teach his mother but I've had to teach the kid to stay silent about guns in general and about guns in our home in particular.

Fortunately love of firearms is hardwired into most boys and the hoplophobes have to "educate" it out of them.

My brother-in-law carries a Para Ord and he is happy with it now that I tweaked it a little with a more powerful recoil spring and a polished feed ramp. I've never even handled the HK but I've talked to owners who are happy with it.

My Series 70 Colt was a piece of crap out of the box but I'm not sure much of that wasn't my fault. I've done a little work on it, learned to stop using cheap ammo and I've learned to shoot it correctly. Now it's a tack driver that goes boom every time and that Colt bluing is downright beautiful. Wilson springs and followers in any magazine function flawlessly now.

The .45 and my Makarov are the only pistols I carry regularly but the Mak will be retired soon in favor of a more concealable .45 ACP.
