You're correct. Alliant Tech Systems is a parent company and now owns the entire sporting division of Blount Inc.

That was RCBS, CCI, Outers, Weaver, etc. Alliant Tech also purchased Hercules Powder Company some years back.

Blount had purchased Federal Cartridge company sometime before there subsequent sale to Alliant. So now it is owned by Alliant. Alliant is also a big defense contractor which makes among other things, rounds for the Abrams tank.

I used to burn up lots of Hercules 2400 powder in a .44 mag and bought it by the five pound can.

Used a lot of Unique in autos.
