This was the front page story in Canada's second largest newspaper today. They managed to get an interview with the Danish Islamic "scholar" who flamed the whole cartoon controversy in the Middle East.

"Having provoked a deadly global confrontation between these poles, he said that he wasn't quite sure where to place himself."
How about 'unwitting agitator' at best ( taking him at his word ).

Mr. Akkari doth protest too much.

Don't the Danes have laws against incitement of violence? If so, why isn't he in jail?

I sorry but Europe lost it's spine decades ago. Actually taking action against this twit would interfere with their planing of their preemptive surrender to the Caliphate.

Denmark actually let this slime return to their country? I'll rethink my purchases of goods from Denmark. You made your bed, and you know the rest....

As long as it is a Muslim sword. I don't want his filth staining a Japanese katana.

Thank goodness for this fellow.
He may have given Europe the wake-up call they need...
now there is at least a sliver of a chance that they may expel the barbarians
they foolishly allowed within their gates.

Mr. Akkari now finds himself regretting the results of his brief journey, the somewhat distorted message of which flashed around the Muslim world by Internet, newspaper and text message, and caused millions of Muslims to believe that Denmark and the Nordic countries had become home to blasphemies.
Translation: The Danes won't let his ungrateful a$$ back into the country (at least I hope thats the case). Well, boo hoo. I see the MSM is in full Dhmmi mode, trying to portray this guy as just a harmless, gentle scholar who meant well.

Incitement to violence...now there's a handle. I'd like to hear someone knowledgeable about the law break it down for us.

The dateline for the article is Copenhagen. The interview occurred in Denmark.

The only "honorable" thing Muslims do is kill their daughters after they have been a rape victim. The word "honor" loses a little something in translation.

"esteemed figures in the Muslim world" Talk about an oxymoron.

Sure it is, you con artist.

One thing I don't get - there's NO WAY this is the first cartoon in history like this. Why didn't Muslims riot years ago?
(Of course I do "get it", it's pure opportunism....)
To: msnimje
This guy's an imam. No reason he can't provide a new "twist" on the Sharia and take the big plunge.
Might bring a refreshing breeze to Islam in general.
