But the Sterling is completely reliable. More rugged than any other 9mm tested and the tests were harsh and they tested them all.
I shoot it pretty good from the hip at close range. Often times can hit a gallon jug at 15 to 20 yards with the first shot from a burst.
Open bolt does nothing for good accuracy. Always get beat in 25 yard clay pigeon shoots by HK MP5's which shoot from an closed bolt. No, the pigeons are not thrown in the air. Set on a hillside.

That reminds me of the old M-3 Grease-gun. Not too accurate beyond 25 meters, but reliable , cheap to produce, and plain hell if you are on the receiving end of .45cal ammo!
