Initial reports were a mid-air collision of a military helicopter and a small private plane. It's unclear if the military or helicopter portion of the first reports is accurate.

This is where air traffic from Montgomery & Gillespie Fields converge (over Mt. Helix). Silver State Helicopters at Gillespie does not know if they had a helicopter involved.

I heard an explosion in the sky went out and can see a plume of smoke. The smoke's white now which I suppose means they fire crews are putting it out.
