Having put most of the left-wing political movement and many liberal Democrats on his payroll, it is apparent that Soros is now working to manipulate the conservative movement.Obviously, Libertarians are not conservatives. If they were Soros would want nothing to do with them.

Obviously, Libertarians are not conservatives. I agree that the Libertarian Party is not conservative, but small-l libertarians are most definitely conservative. Did you know that Ronald Reagan called libertarianism the "heart and soul" of conservatism?

Just what IS a conservative if not primarily an anti-leftist, ie: an anti-redistibutionist, anti-socialist/fascist/communists?
Must you be a believer in the Big Govt MANY conservatives seem to favor at the expense of liberty?
Is freedom NOT job #1 of conservatives as much as it was to Reagan?
Libertarians, (note the root liberty) are more aligned with the Founder's principles than today's left and right have ever proven themselves to be.
RWR was far more libertarian than the bulk today's of Republican Congress - they seem to have given up on his core principles. And oh BTW, Reagan's FAVORITE economist FA Hayek eschewed both the leftists and conservatives for the simple reason that both are too comfortable with Govt's market interventionism, over-regulation, over-taxation, corp subsidy, inflation, debasement of the currency, and the picking the winners and losers in society.
Govt can give nothing it first does not take from us.
If Govt was re-limited to it's pre-ICC, pre-Fed, pre-income tax, pre-judicial fiat constitutionality of the late 1800's, Congress would NOT be able to buy the votes of some with the taxes of others.
A battleship benefits ALL citizens equally - welfare, graduated taxes, grants to foundations & universities, for example, do not.
And that is THE main source of today's vicious factions fighting over what they can get for themselves from Govt.
