George C. Deutsch, the young presidential appointee at NASA who told public affairs workers to limit reporters' access to a top climate scientist and told a Web designer to add the word "theory" at every mention of the Big Bang, resigned yesterday, agency officials said.
Mr. Deutsch's resignation came on the same day that officials at Texas A&M University confirmed that he did not graduate from there, as his résumé on file at the agency asserted.

And good riddance to him
God knows the democRATs don't have any of those.
> This story is DU fodder...
Perhaps, but it's also Freeper-fodder. Or would you suggest that we sweep under the rug instances of incompetance or fraud if the person in question is a Republican?
We're better than that. We should not be like the Dems who'll lie, cheat and slander in order to protect their liars, cheaters and slanderers.
Fedgov has been cracking down on false resumes and fake degrees. They should've known better than to appoint this guy.
Thanks for the heads up.
SNORRFLE!~
Or maybe President Bush should be like your(NurryMom's) hero bill clinton and protect sycophant charlatans with false statments such as, "I'm here to do the work of the American people", while he gets a blowjob from some floosy under the Oval Office desk.
Yes, and maybe the President should think for more than 5 seconds before appointing the people who make recommend these Republican Party activist college dropouts for prominent positions in NASA and other government agencies.
You liberals are so cute. You actually believe that the President himself selects the people like this guy a writer/editor in public affairs office for these positions.
Your grasp on the real world is so tenuous. Such naiveté is a little sweet, but it's mostly sad.
Did you hear about the MA gubernatorial candidate's little faux pas last week?
His pick for a running mate had defaulted on something like $40k in student loans, hadn't paid state taxes in years, and couldn't even get her car registerred because of failure to pay excise taxes.
It took the Boston Herald about a day to get that info together.
It's actually just an alternate "Creation" theory. In my view as much faith is needed to believe it as for a literal belief in Genesis.
Oh yeah MM, every dem appointed position is pristine clean too. This guy was probably a plant by Hurricane Dean to make the President look bad:)
They love the factual punishment thrown at them and come back for more.
So then, there should be not problem with calling it a "theory". Since that's exactly what it is.
Maybe the person in charge of the vetting process should be investigated to see if they used false credentials to get into their position too.

Wow! You actually returned to one of your posts. Must be a slow day in liberal heaven.
Well, you've finally won me over. I'm changing my registration right away.

Did I get it right? Can I register at DU now?
I was just thinking that a minute ago.
I was also trying to imagine how miserable her life must be, not to mention how horrific the lives of the people around her must be!
What specific "expertise" are you requesting of junior public affairs officers?
