I took care of wealthy elderly people in their homes to help me get myself through college.
One woman I helped used to have weekly bridge parties. Four elderly ladies would come over, situate their oxygen tanks, sit down at the card table and smoke until the room was blue.
Used to scare the living daylights out of me. No one was ever hurt, but boy did I smell nasty when I got home every day. Blech.

A group of elderly women in our parish play bridge every week. They are all in the late 80's. One of them has to take a break every so often to go to her oxygen.
They are ALWAYS forgetting "who dealt last" so....they have a stuffed animal and the dealer sits with the stuffed animal on her lap. So, when the deal comes up, they all know who dealt last. :o)
