The United States and other countries are examining whether extremist groups are inciting protesters to riot around the world over cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, a US military spokesman said today.
Col. James Yonts, a military spokesman in Afghanistan, made the comment when asked whether al-Qaida and the Taliban may have been involved in days of violent demonstrations there.
“Other countries are having the same demonstrations, same problems. Very violent demonstrations, starting peaceful, turning violent,” Yonts said.
“The United States and other countries are providing assistance in any manner that they can for the answer to that exact question that you are talking about, in a global type of look to see if this is something larger than just a small demonstration, if there is a tie to it, if there is an infrastructure, a connection to it,” he said.
But Yonts stressed they had no evidence to support suggestions that al-Qaida or Taliban were linked to the riots in Afghanistan
Wonder if newsweak, "let's publish false stories to incite rioting," will publish the cartoon?

It is the middle aged and elderly who teach them,encourage them,persuade them from their childhood, and finance them.. these who stay in the background and talk out of both sides of their mouths...we mistakenly call moderates..
As long as the petrol graft flows their way our leaders and media darlings continue to enable them...and steadfastly refuse to even acknowledge the root cause let alone go after it.

Have all the major US newspapers print the cartoons on the front page for a week. That ought to cause demonstrations.
If these demonstrations are orchestrated and attended by Mulims extremists - then we will have them all together in one place where they can be rounded up and sent to Gitmo.
They can then be forced to wear panties on their heads and be fed a steady diet of pork chops.
Or we could just shoot them all.
