It seems like everything points to genetics. Prostate Cancer runs in my family and no matter how many Saw Palmetto supplements I take I wonder by what % my odds of getting the cancer will decrease. I am starting to think not very much.
Maybe this study will get Krispy Kreme stock moving again. The stock has tanked in the last few years as the low carb craze has persisted. While eating non fat foods may not decrease your odds of cancer, I still believe it impacts your weight. I'm no scientist, but I think carbs play 10 times the role in weight gain compared to fatty foods

We have noticed that the area Krispy Kreme is still quite busy. Krispy Kremes are also available in the grocery store, Walmart, and the various convenience stores. We have wondered if the trouble with Krispy Kreme is their business model. When they first hit the news and were not available here, we looked into their franchise arrangements. There were, at that point, no longer any US franchises available. All new stores were promised to existing franchise holders. Further research showed that the price of a franchise was somewhere north of US$700k just to open, with no information available on percentage royalties, et al. Immediately after that, they swamped the market in every region we visited.
Add to that we stopped eating them because they really aren't that great.
