It's disgusting that terrorists are now dictating what the news media will show. How sad. How pathetic. I never thought I would see the day that the news media would be intimidated by a bunch of lunatics and totally capitulate to their wishes!
Why not give them a whole continent; Antarctica!
The radical left wing press in this country (such as the NYT) supported, as free speech, an alleged artist's right to exhibit a depiction of Christ in a jar of urine. Not only did they show this vile exhibit repeated line on TV and in print they were also in favor of your tax dollars funding it.(endowment for the arts)
Now they can't even bring themselves to print some lame comics because it might offend Muslims.
They are once again exposed as the Hypocrites they are.
PS - I also support this kind of free speech, but I'm not a Hypocrite. I support free speech regardless of who it offends, even when it shows my savior in a jar of urine. I find it sick, vile and repulsive but it's their right.
Here we have a deliberate attempt on the part of the Moslem Brotherhood and its Sunni allies to foment violence in an attempt to intimidate the entire European press. At the moment I write it seems to have about a 50/50 chance of total success. It seems to me that this is exceedingly dangerous. I would expect our own press to behave with something more than the craven trembling that I have seen so far.
This should not be a big deal - so far I agree with you - but it has been made a big deal by those who would treat it as casus belli, and that is a very grave matter indeed.
My point along is that we gain nothing by playing into the game the crazys are running.
Oh, I know, and I don't want to seem to be piling on. It's just that I think that we can play this game better than they can, and probably ought to because if no one opposes them even a weak game is a winning one. Just my $0.02.

They *are* apparently concerned about free speech in Europe. That *is* what this whole brouhaha has been all about, from start to finish. It is the imposition of Sharia, by default, through intimidation. Looks like they're going to be successful, thanks to folks like you, who refuse to get it...

Liberals are obviously cowards. They have no problem showing up at a funeral and openly bashing the president while he's in attendance, because they no there will be no consequence from the media except for praise. It makes one wonder how much of their desire for peace is due to cowardice. My guess is that it's a significant contribution.
