All the whining and crying in the world by the Seahawks fans and the Steeler detractors won't change a thing. The Steelers won Super Bowl XL.
The Lombardi Trophy for Super Bowl XL now resides in Pittsburgh. There is no asterisk on the trophy, only in the minds of the detractors.
The crying, whining detractors say to put an asterisk after the XL. I say to put some ice on their wounds.
The Steelers have the "Terrible Towel" and use it to cheer their team on.
The Seahawks have some sort of towel that they use to cry into.
The Steelers had a Victory Parade today. What did the Seahawks fans and Steeler detractors do today? Cry and whine some more.
They have been crying and whining for the last 50 hours. Time to grow up, face reality and get over it.

It's the tiny splash of a Steeler-hater's tear.

No matter how much I'd like to, I can't hate you Steeler Nation crybably calling, towel waving, Lombardi winning, no first downs in the first quartering, rules arguing, asterisk belittling, Bus riding, fans.
You're just too darn cute.

I have belittled asterisks...Wait a minute, that sounds like some kind of bizarre medical symptom.
Belittled asterisks aren't too bad, but don't let them develop into cotton balls or, heaven forbid, beer nuts!
Apologies to George Carlin

The refs did the same thing last year against the Pats and almost costing them the game. In football momentum is everything and bad calls are momentum killers.

No matter how much I'd like to, I can't hate your cry-baby, $5 coffee drinking, poorly coached, never led after the first quarter, lost by two scores, we should be allowed to hold, we should be allowed to pass interfere, did I mention whiny, 12th-man stealing, can't stop the big play, can't stop the gadget play everybody knows is coming Seattle Seahawks.
They're just so darn feeble, and I never make fun of the handicapped.

We Patriots fans have so much enjoyment over having our team beat them regularly. Well almost regularly, but often on their home field. Hope you have those games on DVD, because those days are over.

LOL, you world champions will never know one of the benefits of being a Seahawks fan:
When I arrived overseas for OIF, my tent city roommate had decked out our hootch in Packers paraphernalia. When he asked where I was from, and I informed him that I was from Seattle, he asked if I followed the NFL. I told him that I did. He looked me over and said,
"Damn, you're a cinch to live through this. The Seahawks can't spare any fans."
Enjoy your trophy, and short of losing it to Seattle in a game marred by "an officiating controversy", I hope whoever wins it next sees the headlines on Monday are about the game and nothing else.

But that has been the trend for all the whiners and crybabes. There was one true bad call -- the Hassleback supposed illegal tackle. That and the many non-calls for holding against the Seattle Whiners. Honest to Pete, I wonder how many times I saw Chimo with a guy literally sitting on top of him when the whistle blew. However, I believe that call "no tackle through"--which is new this year--has burned the Steelers themselves twice in the playoffs. I think that hideous rule was even improperly applied in Hasselbeck's case. They need to get rid of it.

Madden is a fool whose team was the most penalized team in the 1970's. He's never seen an offensive lineman hold in his life. He was punked repeatedly by Chuck Knoll who owned his fat @ss for a decade and he's never had anything decent to say about the Pittsburgh Steelers; of course he was trashing the Steelers throughout the game.

You may live your life fearless of catching your death from a .50 caliber sarcasm round.
It will always go over your head.

Cower agreeing with the refs after a bad call against his team........LOLOL....of course, they won the game and this was just about a$$ ki$$ing the refs.
The refs returned the favor in the super bowl.

We'll all stop whining at about the same time others stopped whining about the 'tuck rule' that handed a win to the Patriots in a previous super bowl.

of course, they won the game... No they lost that MFN against Indy when Jeff Hartings was called for the low block while tackling an interceptor. Yes, Cowher came out after the game and said the refs made the right call even though the Steelers lost the game. Nice try.
To: mcg2000
i have no idea what you are talking about...
my only point was, i now believe that sometimes the game IS FIXED!!!
it has nothing to do with hats made or not made or the teams involved in the game.
nothing else explains why my bookie came into the bar at halftime with ONLY Steelers hats(he was a BIG Steelers fan too) and NO Dallas hats, happy as i'd ever seen him... he KNEW who was supposed to win. the bookies beat the spread too... i was running sheets for him so i know how much he took down, and i also know he'd of been OUT OF BUSINESS if Dallas had won.
