My theory is that fat helps eliminate fat-soluble toxins. For which I have no evidence.

Actually fat will store those toxins on your body. That is why former drug addicts sometimes have problems later in life should they lose weight quickly. The toxins are released back into their system as the fat is metabolized.

No evidence makes that a postulate, not a theory. Theories require evidence.

As postulates go, though, that's an interesting one.
