There is a discussion about corrupt black people in TN and somebody yells 'get a rope.' I'm pretty sure that 95 out of 100 innocent bystanders are going to think that there is a lynching breaking out. Pace Picante Sauce isn't going to be in the top 10 of things that will come to peoples minds. Thats why I'm asking the poster to 'clarify' his remarks now before somebody runs off to the media with it or it becomes a new thread at DU.

Right now, somewhere deep in the heart of the NY Times, somebody is reading FR to 'prove' that we really are the evil, racist, homophobic devils that they already believe that we are. "Get a rope" is a prima facia case in the public domain. Trent Lott lost his job over something about ten times harder to misinterpret than this. I just don't want anybody here stepping into the trap by making an off-handed comment which is going to sound like an invitation to commit a crime. And with that being said, I'd love to get Harold Ford so muddied by the corruption in his family that he never gets the chance to take over Bill Frists Senate seat.

1. In 1966, maybe, but not in 2006.

2. Since the article never even hinted at the fact that these guys are black (assuming they even are), most "innocent bystanders" wouldn't even have known the difference.
