I believe that was the Danes as well.

What these yahoos would be wise to remember though, is that the town my wife's ancestress came from is in Denmark, it's called Vik from whence comes "Vikings".

A lot of places is called "something+vik" in norway too - it means a sort of "bay". Some say that it was the Oslo-fjord area that the "viking"-word came from, but it's just a hypothesis...
