I did NOT vote for Carter. However, I do remember living 60 miles from Midland TX and the interest rate on our new home was 17% and gas lines at the filing stations.
Jimmy Carter is a disgrace.
I remember my grandfather being angry that interest rates rose to 21% when Carter was given the boot from office.
