She didn't do much on her own. It was all her husband. But she gives them a great chance to pander. No politician turns down a chance to pander.

Yesn [sic], I can explaian [sic]. I'm not going to, though. The fact that President Bush and former Presidents are going to attend is explanation enough. They seem to think this funeral is worth their attendance. You don't, so I think you should not attend.
maybe they are attending for their own gain... or perhaps they knew her... i don't think most people attend funerals based on whether or not someone deserves their presence... i wouldn't attend a funeral thinking, "i'll go because he is worthy of my presence." maybe ex-presidents don't think that way either...
I think she did a lot. She had a husband who died tragically while he was speaking about love and being civil to one another. The thing that she really did was went on with her life and pretty much stayed out of politics and raised four pretty descent children who have not gotten into any trouble. It seems pretty clear she did more than Nancy Reagan did and I am sure that you would expect all the present, past and future presidents to attend her funeral, right?
Only one thing, maybe, but at least something.
