No theme, eh? Well, then, this should fit right in ...
The Curse of Gentlemania
I had two dogs who got along okay.
Theyd eat, and bark, and sleep all day,
But one of them had a problem, because he was a male.
He let his little friend be boss, as he would droop his tail.
His heart was that of a lion. Hed tackle any beast,
Except the one who was his pal, the one he feared the least.
For she was so much smaller, he could have ruled by fear,
But he, you see, was a gentleman, she ruled by being near.
They had a favorite napping spot. The rule was First comes first.
Then all shed do is stare at him, and hed develop thirst.
Hed move away to get a drink, and shed take the favored spot.
Hed curl up on the floor somewhere, while she occupied his cot.
Now this was amazing to witness, the big guy would yield to the frail.
He must have known he was stronger, but something else would prevail.
If ever the two had tangled, her chances would have been slim,
But he, you see, was a gentleman, and I learned a lot from him.

(And then I sat down and I wrote this report, ‘cause I knew that you’d want all the facts.)
