"The House Permanant Select Committee on Intelligence is studying hours of audio recordings between Saddam Hussein and his top advisors that may provide clues to the whereabouts of Iraq's WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION. The committee has already confirmed through the intelligence community that the recordings of saddam's voice are AUTHENTIC, according to it's chairman, REP. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, who would not go into detail about the nature of the conversations or their context." " The audio recordings are part of new evidence the House Intelligence Committee is piecing together that has spurred Mr Koekstra to reopen the question of whether Iraq had the BIOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL and NUCLEAR weapons American weapons inspectors could not turn up." They were provided to his committee by a former Federal prosecutor, John Loftus, who says he received them from a former American military intelligence analyst.

"Have some in the intelligence community been sitting on information linking Saddam to WMD's?"
Both sides have reason to sit, one side has reason to tell. D-team wants the issue, as usual. Good guys whould have let this cat out of the bag.
Hopefully it's the dems getting rope-a-doped. On the other hand, the right must think they were bullet-proof if they knew and sandbagged until now for this. Maybe, hopefully, it's becasue they had to.
Yup, I've thought this was a possibility for some time. Suppose we locate those WMD in Syria ... what then? Will they turn them over nicely? Don't think so. We startin' another war over them? Well, we kind of have our hands full already. A dilemma, indeed.
BUMP
Obviously as more info emerges and more documents are declassified, we will eventually get the full story. That*s if the anti-Bushies in the state department and the CIA don*t deliberately sabotage what comes out of these declassifications. Along with Steven Hayes, Mylroie has done extraordinary work uncovering Hussein*s wmds programs.
As an ex-Dem who left the party as the party went further left, I too would like to see two strong national parties. But as a currently strong Republican, I would like to see the Dems go back to the days when they were actually concerned more about national security than being the pathetic bunch of careerist, craven, appeasing scoundrels that most of them are...Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman being excepted.
You are correct. The Dems will never admit that they were wrong and will simply move the goalposts. Most likely they will revert to their previous position that Hussein was "contained". Until a plane (or a subway train, or a semi, etc) full of Iraqi-made chem/bio weapons exploded somewhere in the U.S.
I couldn't agree more. But can it happen? I personally doubt it what with the bunch that's in office presently. It would mean close to a total replacement and that suggests they'd get their share of far leftists; therein lies the problem.
"The pathetic thing is that Colin Powell heard these tapes "
NOT THE SAME TAPES. If you don't like Powell, fine. But don't make stuff up in order to carry it out.
Yeah. :-) You'll notice our friend never did respond with a source.
Well, Zell Miller, anyway. Not too sure about Lieberman.
And they'll never find one. Powell is not an enemy of George Bush.
I do recall Powell giving a briefing on Iraq moving trucks into Syria. They should Sat images of it happening after we had gone into Iraq (the trucks were moved a few days prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom on March 19, 2003)

Chairman Peter Hoekstra, a Republican from Michigan, is said by his staff to believe that it is too soon to conclude that Saddam Hussein either destroyed or never had the stockpiles and programs to produce biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons that Western intelligence... |

Doubtful if he was able to step outside himself to love the dog back.
I have no doubt that she knows about the WMDs. And even if she doesn't - she is not going to join in the chorus of "no WMDs" as that would negate her husband and his entire administration's claims in the 90s that there were WMDs in Iraq's possession.
I believe it also has allot to do with National Security. Why spill the beans now. I'm just guessing but I know (guess) Bush has information that will put these bastards in the shitter soon. I hope that Reverend crap face also has his day.
Possibly the best and most accurate tag line ever. I may be borrowing this to have some bumper stickers made.
Thanks for the ping to this, Red. Fingers crossed!
"I know, why give the Dims the chance to reform? There's something to be said in that regard, but I still believe two strong National parties that are founded on a love for America is our best bet."
Hell, I'd be happy if we had one! Instead we get creeping extra-constitutionalism.
All depends on the recording sampling rate, and whether or not the recording was continuous for the 12 hours.
For example, if instead of the usual music sampling rate of 44.1 KHz (samples per second), recording at 10 KHz would give about 4 times the recording time for the same file size, with no reduction in voice playback quallity.
February 18th at 8:00 a.m., The Intelligence Sumit will submit this verified evidence.
Too bad it's a Saturday Morning.
Look for all MSM programs to avoid it.
