This was written 155 years ago, & notice how this French author PRAISED the United States (of 1850, that is).

The only disagreement I have w/ the author is that he believed that women shouldn't be allowed to vote....but other than that, I think this is a WONDERFUL defense of capitalism, private property, & the US.
