Hi Smartass(((Hugs))).
My vendor manufactures in solid oak which is a renewable source. Many designers/buyers are not educated on the fact that oak is a renewable source. Makes it hard to compete with every new fad they (the greenies) fall in love with. The newest is bamboo or plyboo.
The other problem is the catalyzed lacquer finish which is pretty indestructable (something you need in this environment). They claim it lets off unhealthy gases into the environment. I asked if there were any studies done on this, but have not been referred to any.
This is a whole new industry. They have also successfully gone after the hotel/hospitality market. Organisations such as this: http://www.greenhotels.com/ are cropping up. You won't be able to do business unless you are an approved 'green' vendor of one of these groups.
Let me add a few more thoughts!
"Mikhail Gorbachev" "headquartered on our own soil at the Presidio in San Francisco." The San Francisco Bay area would be an ideal location to launch such a scheme. San Francisco proper, North, South and East (the Bezerkleys) have the most left-wing-thinking folks in America. One just has to examine the back grounds of California's two senators, and surrounding congressmen/women, which easily exposes the fundamental roots of socialism. For example, radical leftist Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-Petaluma) of Sonoma and Marin Counties, located North of San Francisco gave Cindy Sheehan a ticket to President Bush's state of the union address, fully knowing that she would attempt to disrupt the joint session of congress. With such a large pool to pick from, "Mikhail Gorbachev" is right at home, and would not have a problem obtaining followers, governmental ears, and financial support.
I knew ntnychik would give you all the pertinent facts. She is a whiz at this!
One world government is the aim of the U.N.
Just these two alone, are alarming;
The promotion of distributing the wealth among nations and the demilitarization and 'conversion' of national security systems.
Oh my, what a combination they have out there in California!
Mikhail Gorbachev and the 'One World Order' and the Azlatan [sp?] Mexicans intent on taking back the area!!
No wonder we see whacko's like;
Barbara Boxer junior Senator
Nancy Pelosi Congresswoman
Dianne Feinstein Senator
Barbara Lee
Maxine Waters

Ark of the Covenant
This limestone relief from Capernaum, 4th century C.E., may be the ark of the covenant on a cart when the Philistines returned it to Israel.

This account of the war with the Philistines interrupts the history of Samuel. In fact, he plays no role in it. The story appears to have been placed here to fulfill the judgment word of Eli's demise. It also demonstrates some things about the power of Israel's Yahweh. First, he refuses to be "used." He cannot be mechanically called on to perform for Israel's benefit, as they had attempted in battle at Aphek. Second, though apparently captured by the Philistines, Yahweh proves to be more powerful than their god Dagon, and Dagon even finds himself bowing down to Yahweh. Third, the Israelites had better respect him, or they will die, as did the men at Beth-shemesh.
Now Samuel returns to the story. He gathered the Israelites together at Mizpah and renewed their commitment to Yahweh. The Philistines fought them there but were defeated. In this part of the account (7:3-17) Samuel is described as Israel's great savior and judge, after the model of the earlier judge heroes. He is talked about as if he is about to pass from the scene, and yet he will be a major force behind the scenes for much of the remainder of First Samuel.
