Well, at least we will have done the right thing, and tried to inject Western memes into the Middle East, in an attempt to save Islam from itself.
If it does not work, at least we will have tried, rather than just nuking Mecca to start. And I fear it is one of the two. Either they learn some Western ideas, or we end up glassifying some large areas.
I suggest Condi and the Prez are scratching their heads wondering why they overlooked the idea that democracy might not work in medieval societies...

The Prez is a great prez and Condi is a great Condi...but this error demonstrates that being the Prez or being a Phd & Sec of State does not mean that each decision is gonna be correct.
