Indeed. It is ironic that the public reactions to these cartoons, both in predominantly Musilim countries, and elsewhere, provide better evidence for the substance of the truths they depict than any of their defenders on "free speech" grounds could possibly bring forward.
What will be interesting is to see if our Dhimmi press and politicians and the appropriate "interest sections" of the State Department ever get a clue.
It's also ironic in how it exposes the, uh, "dual" nature of tolerance as understood by liberals. When someone offends Christians, it is the Christians who are intolerant. When someone offends Muslims, it is the offenders who are intolerant.
